Refund and Cancellation Policy
Last Updated: June 29, 2026
This Refund and Cancellation Policy explains how cancellations, withdrawals, refunds, and credit adjustments work for Agent Bayes. It applies to purchases of Agent Bayes subscriptions and add-on credits made through Paddle.
This Policy forms part of the Agent Bayes Terms of Use at https://agentbayes.com/terms. If this Policy conflicts with a non-waivable right under applicable law or a mandatory Paddle term, that right or term will control.
1. Who We Are
Agent Bayes is operated by ArchaeoMind Ltd., an Israeli company.
In this Policy:
- "Agent Bayes," "we," "us," and "our" mean ArchaeoMind Ltd.
- "you" and "buyer" mean the person or organization purchasing or using Agent Bayes.
- "Consumer" means a buyer purchasing wholly or mainly for personal or domestic use.
- "Business" means a buyer purchasing in connection with a trade, business, craft, profession, institution, or organization.
- "subscription" means recurring paid access to an Agent Bayes plan.
- "recurring credits" means credits granted as part of a subscription billing cycle.
- "add-on credits" means credits purchased separately as a top-up.
2. Paddle as Merchant of Record
Paddle is the authorized reseller and Merchant of Record for Agent Bayes purchases made through Paddle. Paddle charges your payment method, issues invoices and receipts, handles applicable taxes, and processes approved refunds.
Your purchase is also subject to the Paddle Buyer Terms and Paddle Refund Policy. Paddle may review a refund request under its own policies and may approve a full or partial refund, or decline the request.
Agent Bayes provides and supports the product. For a product problem, contact us first so we can investigate and try to resolve it. For payment, receipt, cancellation, or refund support, you may also use the links in your Paddle transaction email or visit paddle.net.
3. General Refund Rule
Except where required by applicable law, required by Paddle's mandatory terms, or expressly stated in this Policy, payments are non-refundable.
We do not offer a general money-back guarantee. Canceling a subscription does not automatically refund the current billing period, unused subscription time, unused credits, or a renewal payment that was validly processed before cancellation.
We may provide a refund, restored credits, an extension, replacement performance, or another accommodation at our discretion. A discretionary accommodation in one case does not create a right to the same treatment in another case.
4. Consumer Rights and Statutory Withdrawal
Consumers may have mandatory cancellation, withdrawal, refund, repair, replacement, or other rights under the law of their country or region. These rights are not limited by this Policy.
Paddle's Refund Policy describes country-specific rights that may apply, including withdrawal periods for certain Consumers and Transactions. Some rights for digital products and services may depend on whether immediate access was requested, whether use began, and whether any legally required consent or acknowledgment was provided during the Transaction.
Businesses do not receive consumer rights that do not apply to business purchases. However, Paddle's Buyer Terms, Paddle's Refund Policy, and any mandatory law applicable to a Business Transaction still apply.
If you are unsure whether a statutory right applies, contact Paddle through paddle.net.
5. Subscription Cancellation
You may cancel a subscription at any time through the Paddle buyer portal linked in your subscription confirmation email, through available Agent Bayes account controls, or through paddle.net.
Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period. You will not be charged for a later billing period after cancellation takes effect. You may retain paid access until the end of the current billing period, subject to the Terms of Use and any account restriction or termination.
Cancel before the renewal date if you do not want the subscription to renew. A cancellation made after a renewal has been processed does not automatically reverse that renewal payment.
6. When We Will Consider a Monetary Refund
Subject to applicable law and Paddle's policies, we will consider a monetary refund when:
- You were charged more than once for the same Transaction.
- You were charged for a subscription period after a timely cancellation because of a confirmed technical or processing error by Agent Bayes or Paddle.
- Agent Bayes failed to provide the purchased access because of a material technical defect attributable to us, and we could not resolve the problem within a reasonable time after you contacted support.
- A refund is required by applicable law or Paddle's mandatory terms.
We may ask you to allow a reasonable support attempt before approving a refund for a technical issue. This does not limit a remedy that must be provided immediately under applicable law.
7. Situations That Are Normally Non-Refundable
Unless applicable law or Paddle's mandatory terms require otherwise, we normally do not provide monetary refunds for:
- A change of mind after purchase.
- Unused time remaining after an ordinary subscription cancellation.
- A renewal that was processed before you canceled.
- Failure to cancel before a renewal date.
- Credits that were used, expired, or granted for free or as a promotion.
- Dissatisfaction with an AI result when the requested operation completed and the Services performed materially as described.
- Results affected by incomplete instructions, unsuitable source material, third-party content, or the inherent variability of AI systems.
- Features, models, limits, or workflows changing as permitted by the Terms of Use.
- Loss of access caused by a violation of the Terms of Use, fraud, abuse, or unlawful activity.
- Third-party outages or failures that do not amount to a material failure by Agent Bayes to provide the purchased Services.
This section does not exclude remedies for a material defect, failed delivery, incorrect charge, or other matter protected by mandatory law.
8. Recurring Credits
Recurring credits are granted as part of an eligible subscription billing cycle. They are a usage-metering mechanism and do not represent money, stored value, currency, gift cards, or property. They have no independent cash value and cannot be transferred or redeemed for cash.
Recurring credits expire two months after they are granted, unless your plan or a separate written agreement states otherwise. Older eligible recurring credits are consumed before newer credits.
Ordinary cancellation does not convert unused recurring credits into money. You may continue using eligible credits while you retain the entitlement to spend credits. Credits that remain after your paid and any applicable grace access ends may become unavailable even if their stated expiry date has not yet passed.
If a subscription payment is fully refunded, any unused recurring credits granted for that billing period will be removed.
We do not ordinarily provide partial refunds based on unused credits. If a partial refund is approved, we may proportionally reduce the unused recurring credits granted for that Transaction. Credits from other Transactions will not be affected.
9. Add-On Credits
Add-on credits are purchased separately from a subscription. They have no independent cash value and cannot be transferred or redeemed for cash.
Add-on credits expire six months after they are granted, unless the offer or a separate written agreement states otherwise. Add-on credits are consumed after eligible recurring credits.
Add-on credits may be spent only while your account has an active entitlement to use credit-consuming features, including any applicable grace access. Canceling or ending a subscription does not extend an add-on credit expiry date.
If an add-on credit purchase is fully refunded, any unused add-on credits granted for that purchase will be removed. Add-on credits that have been used are normally non-refundable, subject to applicable law and Paddle's mandatory terms.
We do not ordinarily provide partial refunds based on unused add-on credits. If a partial refund is approved, we may proportionally reduce the unused add-on credits granted for that Transaction. Credits from other Transactions will not be affected.
10. Reservations, Finalized Usage, and Failed Operations
Agent Bayes may temporarily reserve an estimated number of credits before an operation starts. A reservation is not final usage.
When an operation completes, fails, or is canceled, we finalize the actual recorded usage and release any unused reserved amount according to normal product behavior. Credits count as used for this Policy only to the extent that billable usage was finalized.
If credits were incorrectly finalized because of a confirmed Agent Bayes accounting or service error, we will restore the affected credits after verification. Restoring credits does not automatically create a right to a monetary refund for the subscription or billing period.
11. AI Output and Service Quality
Agent Bayes is designed to deliver high quality research assistance grounded in your sources. Results can still vary with the source material, instructions, and task. You should review citations, source passages, summaries, translations, confidence scores, and other AI Output before relying on them in your work.
Subjective dissatisfaction with an AI result is not normally a basis for a monetary refund when the operation completed and the Services performed materially as described.
This does not apply where a material technical defect prevented delivery, the Services were materially not as described, credits were charged incorrectly, or applicable law provides a remedy.
12. How to Request Help or a Refund
For a product problem or a request under this Policy, email contact@agentbayes.com and include:
- The email address associated with your Agent Bayes account.
- The purchase date.
- The Paddle Transaction, invoice, or order ID, if available.
- The plan or credit purchase involved.
- A concise explanation of the issue.
- Relevant error details or screenshots for a technical problem.
Do not send full payment-card details.
You may also request a cancellation, withdrawal, or refund using the links in your Paddle transaction email or through paddle.net. Paddle may ask us for product, support, and usage information when reviewing the request.
13. Refund Method and Timing
Approved monetary refunds are processed by Paddle and returned to the original payment method where possible. Processing times and payment-method limitations vary. See the Paddle Refund Policy or contact Paddle Support for current details.
14. Effect of a Refund
When a subscription payment is fully refunded:
- The related paid subscription access and entitlements may end immediately.
- Future renewal of the refunded subscription will be canceled where applicable.
- Related recurring credits may be revoked or adjusted.
- Separately purchased add-on credits are not automatically refunded or removed unless their own Transaction is also refunded or another rule requires it.
A refund does not automatically delete your Agent Bayes account, research workspace, or personal information. Access may be restricted after paid entitlements end. Data remains subject to the Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, product controls, retention practices, and applicable law.
15. Chargebacks, Fraud, and Abuse
We encourage you to contact Agent Bayes or Paddle before disputing a charge with your bank, card issuer, or payment provider. Direct contact often resolves billing or product issues more quickly.
Paddle may review chargebacks and provide Transaction, consent, access, support, and usage records to the payment provider. We may temporarily restrict relevant paid access while a chargeback or payment reversal is reviewed.
We may decline a discretionary refund where there is evidence of fraud, refund abuse, repeated manipulation, false claims, or other abusive behavior. Nothing in this Policy limits your lawful right to dispute an unauthorized or improper charge.
16. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make a material change, we will update the "Last Updated" date and may notify you by email, through the Services, or by another reasonable method.
The version in effect when a Transaction occurred will normally govern that Transaction. A later change will not remove a mandatory right or an express refund commitment that applied when you purchased.
